Ali Alavi, M.D
Dr. Ali Alavi is a seasoned psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent, and adult mental health. He earned his medical degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2000 and completed his psychiatry residency at UCLA-Kern Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at UC San Diego.
He holds board certification in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and maintains a valid California medical license. Fluent in Farsi and Dari and some basic Spanish and Arabic, Dr. Alavi brings deep cultural understanding resulting from working in different countries and patients with vast cultural backgrounds to his clinical work. With over two decades of experience, a focus on evidence-based care, and a passion for youth mental health, Dr. Alavi is dedicated to supporting families and adolescents through compassionate therapeutic approaches. Dr. Alavi believes that the best treatment is the treatment that can be tailored to the needs of each individual as a unique person with unique needs.
